Fence posts and steel profiles that are not properly packed during transport may be susceptible to damage in the form of scratches and deformations. Companies usually use wooden strips for transported profiles or posts, which are designed to separate the goods on the pallet. However, this solution does not guarantee that the product will not move during transport. The goods are susceptible to mechanical damage and may be the basis for a complaint.
In response to the needs of the metallurgical and fencing industries, we have designed plastic transport spacers. The undoubted advantage of transport spacers is the separation of galvanized profiles from each other, which prevents the occurrence of patina on galvanized products. The occurrence of patina on galvanized products, the so-called white rust, is a typical process for galvanized products that are not properly secured during transport and storage.
The profile transport spacer is made of flexible polypropylene, but also durable plastic. The smooth surface of the pallet transport spacers does not damage the profiles. The specially designed shape of the transport spacer ensures complete separation of the profiles in all planes. The transport spacers make it easier to pack the product on a pallet. During packaging, the goods do not change their position and it is easy to tie the pallet with special tapes. Goods packed in this way can be safely stored without fear of being exposed to deformation and scratches.
